Background
Founded in 1878, the Cork School of Music was the first Municipal School of Music to be established in, what was then, the United Kingdom. A new building was commissioned 2005 and Apleona were awarded the Facility Management contract. It is Apleona’s first Public Private Partnership project.
The new building was open to students and the public in 2008 and since then Apleona have provided a Total Facility Management service which is marked against very stringent KPIs which we continually exceed.
Outside of what might be considered ‘normal facility management’ services, Apleona have added a variety of new services that range from Steinway Piano Tuning to Energy Management service saving the School money while lessening their carbon foot print.
